Standard Service

Maintenance and care of vehicles are an important factor for breakdown-free driving and for maintaining the value of the vehicle when reselling it. That's why your car needs to go to a workshop regularly for inspection. With most cars, service is only due after 15,000 or 20,000 km. If you drive less kilometers per year, you should still bring your car to the service once a year. During the inspection in a garage, all important parts are checked, oil levels are checked, oil changes are performed, filters are changed and adjustments are made.

If you have already received your summons to show your car, report this to your garageist. For the vehicle inspection, certain work such as washing the engine, adjusting the lights, checking the brakes, emission test, testing on the lift and test drive are scheduled. If you wish, we can also take care of the presentation at the motor vehicle inspection.

Discs

A crack in the windshield, caused by a stone chip, always comes at the worst possible time! Often the car is needed again and a windshield replacement should be done quickly. We replace or repair windshields of all manufacturers.

Exhaust

The exhaust system with catalytic converter and lambda probe must be checked regularly. Holes in the exhaust not only increase the engine noise, but also lead to a deteriorated exhaust jet. This can impede gas ejection from the combustion chamber, resulting in poorer performance and increased fuel consumption.

Electrics

Problems with the electronics on the car are unfortunately no longer a rarity today. Who ever had the chance to search for an electronic problem, knows how difficult it is to fix the problem. Often it is not possible to clearly determine a part that is causing the error. And this despite the most modern test equipment. The reason for this is that different components are interconnected. Electronic systems work with sensors, electric cables, indicator panels, switches and control units, which also communicate with other systems. Rapid troubleshooting in such a case is often based on our many years of experience.

**Oil change

For cars that are not used much and are often standing around, it is worth changing the oil from time to time. Also vehicles which are used only on short distances, additional oil changes are no mistake. An engine oil only really shows its good properties at normal operating temperature. When cold, the oil cannot fully develop all its properties. Increased sludge and condensation can build up in the oil pan. When changing the oil, all residues and contaminants are drained from the oil pan and new oil is added.

Gearbox

We are able to completely disassemble, repair and reassemble the transmission. In case of major problems with the gearbox, we will replace it with an exchange gearbox.

Motor

Work on engines should be left to qualified personnel. Repairs of damages on engines caused by own fault are not covered by warranty by garages and manufacturers under any circumstances. Serious defects on an engine can lead to a total loss and an engine replacement. So do not save in the wrong place.

Steering geometry

After a collision with another automobile, a wheel alignment is often performed. This is usually a purely precautionary measure. The toe and camber of all wheels are measured. This is to prevent a tire from wearing on one side later on.

**Shock absorber

The importance of shock absorbers is often underestimated. If the efficiency of the dampers drops, it is imperative to replace them. Poor dampers can cause the car to lurch during fast corner changes and, in the worst case, cause an accident. Have all shock absorbers checked for their effectiveness at a workshop from time to time.

Tires / Rims

The air pressure must be checked regularly. Too low air pressure wears the tires at the shoulders and increases fuel consumption. If you own winter and summer tires with the respective rims, check after changing the wheels if you feel a vibration or imbalance on the steering wheel. The wear of the tread rubber can cause a change in the behavior at the tire and create an imbalance. If this is the case, have the wheels balanced again at the auto repair shop. The tire service also always checks the tread depth of the tires and sets the air pressure correctly before mounting the wheels.

Climate

Nobody wants to miss the air-conditioned interior in summer. The coolant is checked and refilled, and the filter is changed.

Exhaust test

Today you have to have this done regularly. You will receive a certificate with the exhaust gas values and a sticker for the windshield. We are able to perform the exhaust gas tests. If the given values are not reached, the reason must be searched accordingly. It is best to carry out the exhaust gas test at the same time as the service.
