**Company Founded in 1987 by Christian Brodard, Brodard Chauffage & Cie is a family business. In 1997, his son Pascal joined the company and played an active role in its development, before taking over the reins in 2012.

Ecology Heating is the most energy-intensive element in a home. It accounts for around 90% of energy consumption, with 60% used to heat the home and 30% to produce hot water.

Subsidies The canton of Vaud and its communes have introduced a whole range of incentives to encourage energy-saving and efficiency projects, and the production of heat or electricity from renewable sources.

**Wood / Pellet heating Heating with wood is highly efficient, environmentally friendly and economical. This energy source is back in vogue thanks to the introduction of fully automated pellet boilers that require no handling. The use of wood pellets also facilitates storage, as they are much more compact than traditional logs.

From an ecological point of view, wood is a very good choice. Burning wood releases CO2, but it has been proven that a tree captures more CO2 between the time it is planted and the time it is cut than it releases during combustion.

Wood is currently the cheapest fuel available, making it more economical to use than gas or oil.

**Gas heating Gas heating is an excellent solution if your home is connected to the gas network. The latest generation of boilers, known as condensing boilers, deliver substantial gas savings while protecting the environment. Thanks to its continuous supply, gas heating is very easy to use.

It is also possible to heat with gas even if you are not connected to the gas network, thanks to the installation of a tank.

We work mainly with the major players on the market, Vaillant and De Dietrich, but can also work on all other brands.

**Heat pumps Heat pump heating offers many advantages. Operating and heating costs are reduced, and there's very little pollution. In ecological terms, the heat pump is one of the best choices. Electrically powered, the heat pump is not dependent on fossil fuels and is therefore unaffected by fluctuations in the price of natural gas, fuel oil and coal.

Heat pumps can also be used for ventilation, cooling and even hot water production.

Using a heat pump is 3 to 4 times cheaper than using fossil fuels. We work with all brands, but mainly with European leader Alpha Innotec.

**Oil-fired heating Oil-fired heating is still the cheapest option today. The major advances made by manufacturers in recent years, notably with the introduction of condensing boilers, have reduced the environmental impact and greatly reduced fuel oil consumption.

More and more homeowners are choosing to replace their energy-hungry older-generation boilers with condensing boilers, which consume much less fuel and therefore pollute less. It is also possible to further reduce fossil fuel consumption by combining an oil-fired heating system with a renewable energy source such as solar power.

Solar energy can produce all the hot water you need during the summer months, allowing you to switch off your oil heating during this period. Oil can also be completely replaced by alternative energy sources such as natural gas, heat pumps or wood-fired heating. In all cases, a detailed study of your energy needs will enable us to recommend the solution best suited to your situation.

**Thermal solar panels The use of solar energy offers many advantages. It allows you to radically reduce your consumption of and dependence on fossil fuels, thus effectively reducing your ecological impact while keeping your budget under control.

A solar thermal system can produce half the hot water required by a single-family home. This hot water can also be used for sanitary needs such as dishwashers and washing machines.

Solar energy can also be used for heating, in which case it can produce up to 25% of the energy required. As the solar panel is the key component of a solar installation, we work with the best suppliers, including Nau and Vaillant, two major players on the market. Thanks to our partnerships with tinsmiths, we're also able to install panels on roof tiles or flush-mounted.
