Founded in Geneva on December 6, 1898, the purpose of the ACS is to unite motorists for the protection of traffic, economic, tourist and sporting interests, as well as all other concerns related to motoring, such as consumer and environmental protection. Thereby, the joy and passion in connection with the automobile are always in the center. The club life has a long tradition and is lived by means of motorsport and classic cars events as well as thematically related trips. The ACS is composed of 19 sections. The members of the ACS come from all walks of life. Among them, all genders, professions, ages and car brands are represented. The ACS provides its members with a wide range of mobility services, road safety offers and topic-related insurance. Politically, the ACS represents the concerns of its members and of motorists in general. It does this at the municipal, cantonal and federal level.
